Caring for your new born is a challenging job. It can be fun and interesting if patience is applied. Although going through sleepless nights and exhaustion, nursing takes the position of top priority. The best idea is to enjoy every bit of it. Decide carefully on the issue of breast feeding or bottle feeding. Breast feeding is best for the baby but it requires more energy. Consult your doctor for the right decision.
Bathing your baby will be the most enjoyable task of all. Let the little one explore silly games with water. However, it may happen that he has hydrophobia or some fear for water. Give him enough time to absorb the whole thing. Do not let him react in a manner where he becomes totally against bathing. He will show his liking and disliking by different behaviors. Like, if he is crying while bathing, keep him busy with some toy or start playing with water to distract his attention.
Cutting nails at regular intervals or when required is very important. Some parents prefer to cut nails when their baby is sleeping. It is the easy way out. Try to cut when he is awake. Make him understand that it is necessary. If that does not work for you, you can go for sleeping solution.
Maintaining a life of hygiene and cleanliness will keep your baby far from ordinary diseases like worms, fever, cold, skin problems, dandruff and many others. Use proper mild detergent to wash baby’s clothes and bottles. Sterilize the feeding bottles in hot water.
